Growing Power! and The Urban Farm Project

Will assist low-income families grow their own food in their neighborhoods and improve their nutrition. The Urban Farm Project will employ low-income and homeless individuals in the production of organic produce at our urban sustainable living site in Harrisonburg, VA.  This is for one growing season starting in January ’08 until October ’08. The Urban farm Project is designed to be primarily self funded after its first year through building community shares and market sales.
