Pilot Research Project: Livestock Exclusion II Livestock in streams in the Shenandoah Valley contribute to excess nutrient, bacteria and sediment inputs that are having a negative impact on waters in the Valley and, ultimately, the Chesapeake Bay. This project involves development and delivery of an adaptive livestock exclusion and pasture management program that is hoped to have a positive impact on water quality in the Shenandoah Valley and serves as a model for conserving resources in Chesapeake Bay watersheds.
