Shenandoah Valley Sustainable Cropping Systems Research Study

By performing a long-term replicated research trial on a farmstead scale, this research will provide Virginia Cooperative Extension personnel and other interested individuals with invaluable data specific to the Shenandoah Valley. This information is required to make realistic recommendations concerning cropping system and cultural practices to farmers in order to improve water and soil quality on the farm, while at the same time remaining sustainable and increasing farm profitability through reduced input costs.  RC&D is funding the first phase of the study.
